Commisioned for the exhibition "Mundus Subterraneus" this CD is very different to the full length album. The installation actually involves 24 separate interactive sound channels that in effect can combine in an infinite number of variations, of wich this extract is but one possibility. It's interesting that Lightwave are being absorbed into and accepted by the arts, as they are amognst the most innovative of synth bands around. Yet, this is not synth music (though synths are used) it is something much deeper, a unique melodic avant-garde. Really, as a taster for the exhibition it is fine, but I could have done with an hour or so of this, as the unexpectedness of such a creation constantly surprises. It's all over too soon.
